Client Challenge:
The project focused on ensuring Functional Safety compliance for multiple automotive lighting products developed according to ISO 26262:2018. The objective was to establish robust safety processes, support project acquisition activities, and deliver the required safety work products throughout the entire development lifecycle.
RSB Solution:
- Supported Functional Safety activities across the complete ISO 26262:2018 development lifecycle in both engineering and management roles.
- Developed and improved Product Development Process (PDP) activities related to Functional Safety, including support for quotation and project initiation phases.
- Defined and maintained Functional Safety planning and governance activities for multiple projects.
- Prepared and managed key Functional Safety work products, including DIA, Safety Plans, Functional Safety Concepts, and Technical Safety Concepts.
- Performed and coordinated safety analyses and supported Functional Safety verification activities.
- Provided guidance to engineering teams and stakeholders regarding Functional Safety requirements and implementation.
- Supported development and maintenance of Safety Case documentation.
Delivered Results:
The project delivered a Functional Safety-oriented PDP framework for quotation activities and supported multiple automotive lighting projects up to ASIL B. Key work products delivered included DIA agreements, Safety Plans, Functional Safety Concepts, and Technical Safety Concepts.
