Hardware in the Loop (HIL) for BMU

Product: HIL Level: Component level (Battery Management Unit)

Test Environment Setup:

  • High Power network simulator
  • Vector VT with toolchain: CANoe.DiVa. vVIRTUALtarget, vTESTstudio

Scope: Fault injection tests, test automation, and reproduction of customer-reported issues.

HIL Issues: Some temperature related DTC could not be reproduced [reported from OEM]

What was executed or delivered within the project:

  • Sensor models were updated with a Python look-up table that added temperature noise, which was visible in customer logs.
  • The test suite was automated with Python scripting, so remote and overnight/weekend executions were possible. This radically improved System Test (SYS.5) results delivery.
