HIL Unit for ABS/ESP System Engineering

Product: HIL Level: System level (ABS/ESP ECU + PUMP + VALVES)

Test Environment Setup:

• dSpace HW.
• Steering angle, yaw rate, wheel speed, pressure control valve sensors and other vehicle ECUs are model l ed in the VOES and Control Desk

Scope: Configuration of the HIL for testing heavy body vehicles. Vehicle dynamics parameter modification. Test scenario preparation. Test suite execution

Main Responsibilities in the Project:

• Identification of spontaneous errors related to Wheel Speed Sensor failures.
• Inaccurate timing measure of Steering Angle Sensor.

What was executed or delivered within the project:

• Updating old wheel speed models to match boundary states ‘resolution to actual vehicle sensors
• Other failures were coming to incorrect SW parameters and calibration for wheels difference ratio – SW parameter update fixed the issue
• Models were updated and vehicles dynamic model parametrized to reflect its real-life behaviour and pump pressure builds up.
